WOLFBURN Batch 155 SMALL BATCH RELEASE – PORT CASK FINISH 46 %Vol

Bei Wolfburn „Batch 155“ handelt es sich um ungetorftes Destillat der Brennerei, welches zuerst für fünf Jahre in Bourbon Fässern reifte und dann für eine Schlussreifung in Port Fässer umgefüllt wurde.

Diese Fässer lagen für weitere 6 Monate im Lagerhaus No.1 (Reihe 55) und gaben insgesamt 5300 Flaschen her.

So präsentiert sich mit Wolfburn Batch 155 das erste Finishing der Brennerei sowie der erste Wolfburn Single Malt mit dem Einfluss von Port Fässern.

Tasting Notes:

“Soft heather tones mix with warm port aromas. The depth of flavour is huge – on the palate a lovely vineous flavour is augmented by bourbon, caramel and vanilla, with overtones of ginger and oak. The finish is superb, a mix of port and caramel and dried fruit, which lingers long after the dram is gone.”

Die Gesamtauflage beträgt wie gesagt nur 5300 Flaschen, abgefüllt in 46% un-chillfiltered und wie immer in Natural Colour.
